Rehearse the refusal

Pass 2

Name the incentive, the duty it crowds out, and the sentence you will use.

Ethics Unwrapped describes ethical fading as being so focused on other aspects of a decision that the ethical dimensions fade from view. The narration attributes the name to Ann Tenbrunsel and David Messick. Giving Voice to Values treats the reply as something you can prepare. Both are teaching pages. They are not counts of how often this happens, and the videos were not watched.

Write the claim you are being asked to recast, whether it is financing, revenue, or how ready the product is. Write the sentence you will say, an alternative you can offer, and who you will tell if the request continues. Rehearse it once. The page does not supply the sentence for you.

Question. How do you rehearse refusing a misleading claim or an unsafe shortcut when a senior person or an investor demands it?

I have already signed, paid or lost access if the commitment is no longer only a plan.
